Chunky Flushing Sweater Pattern
The Flushing Sweater isn't your typical cabled sweater. Using the simplest cable techniques, the Flushing Sweater is perfect for beginners and pros alike.
Materials:
- 15mm circular needles (24”-36” cord)
- 12mm circular needles (24”-36” cord)
- Cable needle (I tend to use the 12mm needle)
- 4 (5) 6 (6) 7 (7) 7 (8) 8 skeins of 200g/80m (if you want to do wide sleeves, add 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (2) 2 (2) 2 skein(s))
Gauge:
8 stitches x 10 rows on 15mm in stockinette for 4”x4”

XS:
Width - 15”
Length - 15”
Sleeve length: 17”
Small:
Width - 17”
Length - 17”
Sleeve length: 18”
Medium:
Width - 19”
Length - 19”
Sleeve length: 19”
Large:
Width - 21”
Length - 21”
Sleeve length: 20”
XL:
Width - 23”
Length - 23”
Sleeve length: 21”
2X:
Width - 25”

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners; you should be comfortable with cable knitting. This pattern uses the following techniques: picking up stitches, reading charts, cabling, decreases, three needle bind off, and knitting in the round. I’ll be posting tutorials on my instagram!
